Heather, beat you to both of those already.... I dont rope in any U.S. ropin's. I cant afford 100/ run. I just can't find headers that are consitent enough to spend that much on a run.....lol....yeah right.

That is why I back in the heelers box with a string in my mouth a jerkline in my belt and a polygrass rope tied on.It's just you and your horse, but if you mess up you can't blame it on anyone but yourself.

some friends of mine just ordered a new cherokee 4horse slant, with a dinette slide and full bath [bunkhouse conversion] for around 33k sounds cheap to me. i got rid of a liteline, boy were they lyin, of course it had steel frame gen,mid tack water tanks 4horse, weekendr. got a 3 horse slant sooner revolution pulls like it is not even there. may end up with a bigger one again even though the kids are gone just get one to replace travel trailer and horse trailer.

thats why i stuck with barrel racing for so long..it was just between me, my horse, and the clock, and i never blamed a bad run on my horse...although i will tell ya since i have finally gotten back into roping..i havent even took a turn on the pattern besides for fun and showing the 4H kids how and what to do...if i can ever get my mare settled down she will make a killer barrel horse...just needs alot of work and my rope horse is taking all that right now lol..i could run my mare..but i have never let any of my barrel horses be hot headed on a run..if at any time they try and jump the gun on a run or start getting chargey or trying to overrun me..i pull em off n put em to work on something else and try back in a month or so..have had alot of good barrel horses..just havent had time to make my latest one yet.

werewolf...let us know about that cherokee n how it pulls and rides...i havent heard much about them and its always good to get first hand word on how a trailer pulls and handles

We currentyl pull a 3 horse TrailsWest with a 6' shortwall and nice weekend package. Like it a lot, I believe it's the best steel trailer out.

We had a 01 WW aluminum that we ordered and picked up at the factory in Madill. It was a well built trailer. Not a slick as some of the pricer units (4 Star, Hart, Sooner, etc.) but just a basic tough trailer. Some of my dislikes; low end plastic latchs on the dressing room door, and windows, solid diamond plate aluminum floor only (I would have rather had al. planks, rumbar (?) or even good wood) and it was a little harder of a pull than the TrailsWest.

But, if I just wanted a tough build, haul on the bad roads trailer, I'd sure consider a WW. Nothing sissy about em.

Yeah WW are tough made trailers...I love our old WW 2 horse <granted its a 77 or 78>..the only dislike is that it will jump around easily when your backing it up..i think its funny trying to watch a buddy try and back that thing up..n its just a 2 horse bumper pull...lol this one guy tried backin it up...after about the 10th attempt got out threw his hands up said his 5 horse slant gooseneck was a million times easier..of course i can back that thing up anywhere cus i have been hauling it for ever and before i could drive i would hook up the truck and trailer and pull it around while gettin ready to take off...but besides that i love it..havent looked at any newer WWs...still my mind has been set on Exiss and is what i will most likely get <when i get a newer trailer>....just waitin to pay off my truck..gawd it seems like ive been payin an eternity and have an eternity left lol
