Have a friend that works for the fire department? Im sure an inch and a half line would take out a hornest nest like nothing. Id love to see a hornets nest hit by something a little bigger, say 4". : )

Beating a hornets nest with a flaming skunk works better than lady bugs.

I had been out of State (and off line) for a couple of months but I had to follow NUN YAH RAM’s post because I absolutely Hate Hornets. I only find them when I am on a ladder or under a vehicle or someplace where flailing my arms causes nothing but problems. When he said that he also had a Skunk, I had to say something because I recently ran over a dead one in CA and the smell was still in my truck when we stored it last week. He should just get the Gunfighters from Mountain Home AFB to put in a strike on his shed and be done with it.

update

I thought i would give you guys an update on my problem. well over the weekend i sprayed the hornets nest with brake cleaner and then wasp spray in the evening when it was dark, then this morning i scooped the nest into a garbage bag and put it into the garbage can outside. then i borrowed a barrel trap from a buddy at work inside the trap i put some cat food, and hope to catch the little devel soon. Thanks for all of your ideas.

Oh man, and I am late with a bright idea of simply blowing it apart with a 12-gauge shell
My brother and I were on a survey route on foot once in really dense willows, cussing out the world as it was super hard to get through, the willows just caught on you and pushed back. He walked in the front and happened to hit a football size wasp nest with his head, and it fell 5 feet in front of me.
The willows were not so bad at all, as we covered the next mile in less than two minutes.
