HO/6 Speed

From what I'm gathering, it's not available in the Peoples Republik of California.

I drove one in Roseburg, OR (have property - AND an address there). Other than pissing off all the CA CTD drivers who want one, what's to keep me from buying it and giving my OR addy?

Nothing that I'm aware of; you would probably have to take an Oregon delivery though. If I were in the same boat, I'd use the Oregon address and get the HO 6sp.

Re:HO/6 Speed

That wouldn't be a problem, as we are there quite often. Be easy enough to drive the Bronco up, trade it in, drive the 2500 back "down" (getting better mileage too!)

As long as it has an Oregon registration I don't think they can really say anything. Good luck.

Re:HO/6 Speed

Out of state tags that are seen there on a regular basis is one of the things we were told to look for, when I was in law enforcement in CA many years ago.

I can only assume the laws are even stricter now than before. You may get away with it, being as how you have duel citizenship with OR, but don't be surprised if you find yourself having to prove the issue on a regular basis.

Ca laws are some of the strictest in the nation, but then you already know that. Good luck!
