How it happened.
◦On March 20th at approximately 3:15 pm Bruno joined with SWAT officers as they searched for a suspect that had fired upon Probation Officers in the area of La Palma and Citron Street. As one of the suspects fled, he confronted a woman who was unloading groceries with her children. The suspect brandished a gun and threatened to kill them if they called the police. Bruno located the suspect and signaled to his handler that the suspect was either inside or behind a black trashcan with a lid. The suspect then opened fire and Bruno was shot in the jaw.

I'm betting that dog won't appreciate retirement, and would rather work.

One tough critter fer sure. Good luck to him.

It's amazing how tough people can be, too, when they don't listen to the pansy doctors telling them how much they should hurt and get down to the business of getting better.

Dogs endure such burdens for their loyalty. We should all be so lucky to have been loved by a dog.

Good to see Bruno up and recovering. That pup had a big smile when his human came in. His ears, eyes, tail, body - everything- said the world was right. Good for them and best wishes to Bruno.

It is amazing. I swear that dog smiled when he saw his partner.
