Man, I'm so sorry. You're gonna be soooo bored with no kids around. What the heck can you do with just a wife? I always figured people have kids to relieve the boredom in their life.

That's the biggest pile of poo I've ever heard.

Morning.

Today is Saturday, June 4th.

On this day in 1674 - Horse racing was prohibited in Massachusetts.

1717 - The Freemasons were founded in London.

1792 - Captain George Vancouver claimed Puget Sound for Britain.

1812 - The Louisiana Territory had its name changed to the Missouri Territory.

1896 - Henry Ford made a successful test drive of his new car in Detroit, MI. The vehicle was called a quadricycle.

1911 - Gold was discovered in Alaska's Indian Creek.

1918 - French and American troops halted Germany's offensive at Chateau-Thierry, France.

1924 - An eternal light was dedicated at Madison Square in New York City in memory of all New York soldiers who died in World War I.

1942 - The Battle of Midway began. It was the first major victory for America over Japan during World War II. The battle ended on June 6 and ended Japanese expansion in the Pacific.

1944 - The U-505 became the first enemy submarine captured by the U.S. Navy.

1944 - During World War II, the U.S. Fifth Army entered Rome, which began the liberation of the Italian capital.

1985 - The U.S. Supreme Court upheld a lower court ruling striking down an Alabama law that provided for a daily minute of silence in public schools.

1998 - Terry Nichols received a life sentence for his role in the bombing of an Oklahoma City Federal Building.

2003 - Martha Stewart was indicted on federal charges of using illegal privileged information and then obrstructing an investigation. She resigned as chairman and chief executive officer of her company the same day.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
When they discover the center of the universe, a lot of people will be disappointed to discover they are not it.

It went downhill the day we got out here.

The new truck... well, I've only had it out once this season. We have a full schedule when we get back, so I HOPE it'll go good! It seems like it will be fine, but with 850,000 on it, you never know!

Yes, as usual. The very thing I left here for in the first place is what I walk into everytime I come back.

For the next 6 days we got the most rain in decades. Last Monday I figured we were dry enough to cultivate and till garden. Whoops!!!! 1960ish IH 350 Utilitytractor made it about 10 feet into garden and then sunk to axles. Front and back at the SAME TIME!!!!!! I might finally get garden turned over tomorrow but it is the first week in June. Geeze only 90 days until the next killing frost. If the we get tornado or hailed out - there won't be any time to start over. Glad no one in your area got hit by twisters. Looks like have hot weather here east of Calgary on Sunday. It might get exciting.
Snow last night north of you? Saw a few flakes here today. Tomorrow...24C or 80F and humid. A 50F swing in temps.
