Here's One for Hunter

Hunter must be out in the woods again. This is the one he missed.

Re:Here's One for Hunter

Hunter, my pic wasn't taken in Oregon, not in season when I shot the pic. You can tell by the look on elk he wasn't afraid. Right here in my yard there are two or three big bucks come right up and try to stare me down. They know they are safe here.

My son bags an elk about 3 out of 4 years. His group he goes with share the meat. If one doesn't get an elk at least he gets a share of meat. Poorest year he only came home with 1/2 elk as they got 2 elk between the four.

Had to shoo two wild turkey hens away from my Ram this morning,. They were trying to decide if it was something they could eat.

Re:Here's One for Hunter

the fish on the west side can be bigger, but you cannot beat catching 10-12 pound steelhead over here in 1 foot of water on a flyrod. Most days you will only see one or two other fisherman on the stream. I just have no desire to move to that side of the mountains, I apsolutely hate the traffic. I guess it might not be so bad once you get use to it though.

But I agree, from Marysville to south of Tacoma is way too much for me. Almost a continuous city. The only way to beat the flyrod catch is if you do it with 1-2 lb tippets. Now that's a kick. Needless to say, I'm a catch and release fisherman. It's a good excuse anyway. Well, I was gonna let that one go anyhow!!!

~Dave
