Hemi 6.4
So I'm at a spot not sure to sell my 2nd gen and look for a 5.9 3rd gen. or keep the 2nd gen and look at a new crew cab 6.4 hemi. I need a bigger back seat as my kid hasn't stopped growing yet.
who has test drove a 6.4 yet. My small local dealership had one and it sold quick. So I'm waiting for them to get another in to test drive. I test drove other 13's and 14's just to see if i liked the rest of the truck.
This would be a Daily drove truck. if I was concerned about the MPG i wouldn't be looking at a 3/4 Gas truck. so this is not a issue.
my big concern I guess in my head is I know who fast and how my 2nd gen drives and feels. I have not owned a Auto in years and wondering if this truck will be a complete dog. I cant compare it to what i have in my 2nd gen but you guys know where I'm coming from.

Neighbor near me bought one after his diesel wore out with 600k miles on it. He's claiming his empty mpg are 2-3 mpg better and his loaded towing mpg with same 7600LB travel trailer is about 9 mpg. Which he seems totally happy with.

what are we comparing it to? what diesel did he have before? I get 18-20 mpg empty on my 02. I'm not so much concerned about the MPG. I'm just wondering if the truck is going to be a sad dog on the get and go.
Thanks for the reply.

He did have slightly larger tires on the Cummins.
I'll ask him about the power. His comments have not been negative.yet lol
