Help a Student out.....

I was wondering if yall could help me out. I have to write a paragraph about each question......

"What is the most common reason a battery goes bad? "

"When shopping for a car battery what are some important things to consider, and what should a person look for in a battery?"

If yall could help me with that I would be appreciated.
Thanks alot yall
Sean

First answer: Some idiot left his lights on.

Second answer: Name brand, cranking amps and correct fit.

Write short paragraphs.

I'd add warranty to the 2nd answer.

A for the 3rd question.......
"and what should a person look for in a battery
I would think electrolyte should be the correct answer.

Depends on the application. The last battery in the Massey-Ferguson lasted about 6 months.

Our John Deere battery lasted about the same. At least it was under warranty.

When you are too far away to prevent it but close enough to see the fireworks when some knucklehead sets a wrench down on the battery shorting both terminals. Cool light show, actually melted the wrench breaking the short before the battery completely overheated and exploded, needless to say all the smoke fell out.
