Help: mothers day gift ideas

My good friend in Oklahoma has asked me to help him with mothers day gift ideas for his wife. He is a newly-wed man with a newly born daughter.

He wants to stay away from the basics like flowers or candy. Any suggestions appreciated.

Here is a gift that the ladies/mothers love. Find a poem that has meaning to the whole family or couple. Have it printed on fancy paper and then matted and framed, you will be surprised at how cheap it is and the results.

A few years made a mural and put it in a nice frame. Gather a bunch of pictures of the wife & daughter and printed it up. I did it digitally but could take photos and make duplicates and glue them to a mat and frame it the same. First kid will have tons of pictures. Sorry I ment collage not mural .

Nothing says 'I love you' like a new toilet brush or a chainsaw!

Glad I could help!

Tell him to get her a massage or a spa package.
He can watch the kid while she goes for the massage, facial, manicure and pedicure. Women love that stuff.
Believe me it'll pay off big time!! Oh make sure she goes on a Sat. so they get get a sitter for the evening. It'll pay off even bigger that way!!

The spa idea is good, as is the collage, or he could get someone to do a nice portrait sketch of the three of them and have it framed. Keep it very personal, flowers and candy tend to show a lack of creativity and thoughtfulness.

Most importantly....DON'T FORGET THE CARD!!
He could get her a Lamborghini and she'll still ask, "No Card?!?!?"

Mothers Day, huh?

I would LOVE to have someone ELSE put in the PacBrake, controller box, new IC boots, and change the oil and filter.... and maybe the valve cover gaskets too.

Keep hoping if I put it off long enough, #1 Son will be home from Kuwait and we can have some quality time scooting around under the truck. Sure do miss him.
