help! 97 isuzu rodeo

Got a '97 isuzu rodeo. Won't charge. New alt and fresh battery. I've heard parts store alts can be questionable. Is it triggered by a cam sensor or crank sensor? Any help would be great.

Got it. Apparently, the ECM doesn't control the alternator, per say, but it can cut the alternator out for WOT etc and that part of the ecm is known to go bad. Clip the wire from the ecm to the alternator, problem solved, and for a lot less than buying a new ecm

Good that you solved the issue. Got a new 3.2 V6 engine and seemed like the fuel pump was giving out. Had replaced the filter and it run good for just a week then the fuel pump just not worked once again. I was desperate and so i replaced the sensors and had checked all the relays. Guess they are all good. My last suspect is the ECM since the pump works in a few tries and i guess it bypasses the power. Just an update, my seemed to fail when starting. Just a question. Could it be the ecm that triggers the said failure? Im planning to replace it with a new one but have no idea. Any inputs before i buy one? Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
