I am 17 years old, and have never once even considered drugs. I live in a fairly small town, and had never really heard of any of this, but it doesent matter to me because ill never try it. Heck. Ive never even smoked a cigarette, dipped, chewed or drank a beer. Say what you want but i figure if can stay away from stuff like that then i cant get addicted.

The big thing to do this past year was steal the cans of ink and gum remover. you spray that stuff to clean somethin and you get a headache it was strong. itd take dry perement marker of anything.

Still being in highschool I see this every day. I live in a town of about 4500 people and there are about 800 in my school. But about 90% of the kids are the ones who are skipping class to go smoke pot and huff other drugs. I look at all of my friends who I have known from the 1st grade and went through DARE with. Most of them are pot smokers know. They have a tree they call "the tree of life" that they clime and smoke at the top. It's a huge old pine tree on top of a hill. They say they can see for miles. lol. At least 3 times a week they skip the class before lunch and go to smoke.

there are only 3 people in my class that I belive have never smoked, or drank, or anything. I just can't belive it.

Most of their pearents know about it and don't do anything about it. They just think it is harmless and they will stop when they get older. Some of the kids I know have been suspened form school for it and their pearents dont give a hoot about it.

I, myself have never tuched the stuff, never smoked, drank, diped, or anything. I know that i would be shot if I was cought. My sister who lives 30 minutes away is a K9 officer with a drug dog. I cant even take any of my friends to her house with me unless I warn them about it a few days before.

About 17 years ago, a friends husband was huffing a type of electrical cleaning solvent. When he came to the morning meeting, he fell over and never got back up.

Sure left behind a good looking widow ...

Most of the folks in my age group ( grew up in the mid-late sixties) have done or tryed drugs of some kind. But there wasn't the hi-teck killers that there are today. When I was in the navy, a Native American stationed with me, said that the Elders told him before he left, " If Mother Nature didn't make it ready to use, don't touch it". Iv'e tryed to live by that code ever since. Maybe we should be teaching that to our kids. Drugs and sex, unless you hold them by the hand 24-7, kids are going to find out for themselves, because we don't know nothin'.
