All this gassy talk jogged my memory. The word I was looking for is outgassing. Presume that is the same as degassing or gassification. You boffins can correct me if I am wrong.
(Actually all those words also quite acurately describe some verbal diarrhea I have noticed from time to time on this forum. :

I gotta try that corn starch thing. I have the same hard water problems. My truck is not bad cause I dry the water off immediatly, however my wifes car is spotted bad cause she just hoses it off and lets it sit and dry. Bought some pink soap and acid mixture from a detail shop but i'm scared to use it cause it cautions against letting it get on the paint. Thanxs for the info.

Vinegar and water is supposed to do the same thing and will get the film off the inside. If you don't mix it too strong, it will also kill any foul smells that might be lingering :-X :-[ :'(
