Re:Had a nice drive today

Since this fog had been hanging around for about 10 days now, and I had to stay in the valleys for this time it was a marvelous feling when I got out of the fog ans saw the sun and the clear blue sky again. I will try to collect some other pics from my harddisk and my scanner to show you what Austria is like.

Have a nice day

Re:Had a nice drive today

Beautiful shots, Marcus.

I miss it over there. I have a couple nice shots over looking Lake Konigsee from The Eaglesnest in Berchtesgaden. One on a sunny day and one with the valley fogged in like that. Also some shots of a para-sailor above me, out on the horizen in front of me, and below me over Berchtesgaden with a long way to go before landing.

I did end up getting my home pc going, but the scanner is M.I.A. and no digicam yet, to show off the cabin. If you need something to do on those days you can drive around the countryside, I would really enjoy some pictures of the woodwork done on the ornate, decks and overhangs on those "real" chalets. No urgency at all, but I do have some projects in mind. I have a few nice shots, but at the time, did not have any plans on reproducing any of this. A lot of the detail is lost. Also working on a nice set of antlers for the peak of the gable..... maybe Saturday I'll get some.

I think everyone here would enjoy some of your local pictures when the Christmas Decorations are put up as well.
Thanks, Don

Re:Had a nice drive today

Thanks for the kind replies- I know that nobody can be truely objective about his home country.

Redled: Something to look at from a gov. site over here

Actually I don't have any pics of this stuff yet, it seems to be quite rare in my neck of woods. Lot has been destroyed. You'll find most of this in museums. But if I get something I'm gonna IM you.

Re:Had a nice drive today

Hehe got to visit me- the museum village is just about an hour away. Another cool spot is where they found a roman villa about 2,200 years old, about 2 hours away, conveniently placed quite close to a brewery with a restaurant.. Ain't it tempting... to go for some culture ;D
