Smile This guy would not give up...Dmax

Yesterday I had a guy pull up beside me in a Dmax...real nice looking truck...It was sort of a candy red/burgundy. He started pointing at his pillar and gauges, pointed towards me and then gave me the thumbs up. ok, cool, a fellow dieseler thats not brand ignorant. You know the kind, the ones that look away. I used to do that when I got my first 2 gen Ram...then figured, why?

Anyway, light turns green and he takes off...I mean he lights up and he is flying.
Since I had a bunch of plate weight in the bed, I was not really interested in a game of cat and mouse. Next light, its like there was a different driver in that truck. Window is rolled down and he starts laughing and telling me my truck is gutless and "Is that all you got?"

Then he continues to tell me how he crushed me and he will everytime he can because he hates Dodge trucks. I never said a word, just smiled, which got him even more amped. Then he started in on my graphics on the truck for the upcoming strongman comp. Taunting me that I was obviously not one of those 'tough men' and I drove a whimp truck. He was certainly entertaining himself.

So I asked him what he was running for extra power. His answer was...The Edge. So I said; "Well that explains why your non posi two wheel drive automatic, 1000 pound or more lighter truck can go so fast." He agreed and said that even if I had a truck with a similar set up, he would eat me for breakfast. Green light, Quad race on full BD dloader on Perf, throttle dumped at redline in 4x4, bye bye.

Next light near the highway he is telling me he was not ready and too bad I cannot lay any rubber with the dual wheels. I said yeah, with posi and 4 tires trying to break loose that would be hard to do. I took it out of 4x4 and turned the quad to the 2nd notch, less power as I wanted to save some of the tread. Smoked out the entire intersection and was leaving rubber in third. I gotta admit, this combo is nice and has proven itself reliable time and time again. But now he decides the race is on to the on ramp for the highway...no thanks. He flies by, hits the curve and I can hear his tires slipping and letting go. Off into the open field he went. I waved as I went by.

Disclaimer:
Never once did I exceed the speed limit to do this but I can assure you his speed was too much for that curve. LOL

Nice work Scotty....

I've actually had a guy follow me to my house and challenge me to a "fair" race after the beating I put on him.

Well if the man's asking for it what's a guy supposed to do?

This guy is probably telling his friends it was a draw: 2-2

You should have stopped and asked if he needed you to pull him out of the field.
