It's a sad commentary on life in the US when, with all the injustice, evil, and sadness in the world, so many get so worked up over "Sports".

Personally, it ceased to be a "sport" when the "Athletes" are paid more than the Pres. off the US.

It appeared to be a makeable foul catch to end the inning. Leftfielder Moises Alou ran to the wall and reached with his glove near the railing, but a fan wearing headphones and a Cubs hat stuck out his hand and deflected the ball away.

Bad to worse. I heard they released him full name to the public today. The poor meathead needed armed guards to escort him out of the stadium after the game had ended.

The whole thing is stupid really. I bet 3/4 of the people given the same opportunity would have grabbed for the ball. I can't believe how fanatical some sports fans are- Usually it's people that are'nt any good at sports themselves so they live a dream through athletes- pretty pathetic :

The guy did reach over some, but I do not have a problem with it. It's not like the guy had half his body over the wall going for the ball.

 

It all sounds like a embarrasing mistake. I probley would have tried to catch it too. I probley would have fumbled it as well. I definatlywould have sued the stations.

 

I heard that Governor Jeb Bush of Florida has granted the poor guy political asylum in Key West.

 

An 8 run foul ball? I don't think so. The pitcher should have been pulled for that batter anyways. Either way, he'll make some bucks off of this. Just hope his lawyer doesn't take it all away.
