here in cal it's something like 16 or 20 is "not concealable"...according to my bro in law that's a cop you can technically carry a shotgun under a trenchcoat and not be concealed, but doing so is also "frowned upon" by the local authorities and may be less politically correct than open carry handgun. inside the vehicle it's got to be locked up somehow, box, rack or trigger lock and obviously, empty.

On the school shooting: It's not the guns. CCW would have still been illegal because it was at school. The unarmed security guard "took one for the home team", major cajones!
