gum on the carpet!!

some how somebody got into my truck and must have had gum on their shoes and now i have a nice glob of it smeared into my carpet has anyone had gum on thier carpet befor or know how to get it out if anyone can help i appreciate it thanks guys.

Just a guess here but you might try WD-40 it works on getting everything out of my horses manes and tails.

Janitorial supplies usually have gum remover which is a can of freon with a spray nozzle. You just freeze the gum and then quickly chip it out with a putty knife or impact chisel.

You can do the same thing with ice cubes. Do not use WD 40 on carpet - - you will separate the carpet from the backing. Not good. Big bubble.

Air in a can for cleaning computers , if you spray it with the can upside down it will freeze it and you can keep doing it until you get it out. Good luck

Get some Dry Ice and do the same.. much cheeper..

So does dish soap. Spray it on and work it in a little. Leave it set for a while and the soap will kind of "wick" into the fibers and gum.

can of air for computers has never let me down. turn upside down and spray, the whack frozen gum with a hammer and it chips out. repeat as necessary.
