Got me a 69 Coronet!!! Pics included!

Got me my dream car to restore/restify/modify. Plan on making an R/T Clone, with a 440 six pack EFI and Kiesler 5 speed with the pistol grip shifter and console.

Talking

I got to admit the old cars are the greatest out there! I've got two still around... 73 Dodge Charger and a 77 Dodge Magnum XE.

Once in awhile I'll go out and fire up the Charger and run it down the road for a mile or two. What a rush! Nothing like that old Detroit Muscle Huh!

Can you say mega coin boys and girls? LOL

About 4 grand all told, by the time you are done.

It is the single most expensive part I will buy, almost twice the purchase price of the car LOL- but because I got the Kiesler kit in a trade, I can afford it- it would have been 9K combined for the two go fast goodies!

I have a couple of long block race motors (actually, two complete spare motors for my race car) and one of them will find it's way, with a smaller cam and compression, into the Coronet. I have a 496/440 with Eddy heads that will probably do it- I was going to use the 471/400 with stage 6 heads, and still might, but I am not building a race car here LOL- the 471 has 12.5-1 compression, and the 496 already is only about 10.-1 compression, so no need to swap pistons in it. I always like the clearence for headers on the low decks though. That decision won't be made until next year though, when all the chassis and interior mods are done though.

The only high buck item for me to buy will be the EFI- and I am already about halfway there in my account for that purpose, and it is really the last thing to buy, so I should be able to swing it no problem.

I have a seperate account for my DTTI trans for my truck, so it will be done next summer I think LOL
The truck, interestingly enough, will be somewhat of a guinee pig for my car- whoever does the paint on the truck will do the paint on the car, if they do a good job! They both will be painted Viper Red

I have a 496 in my charger, nice package. What did you trade for the five speed?? I would love one, but my wife is home with my young son, so no toys until he is old enough to go to school and she gets a part time job!!

I traded an entire B-1 original head top end package for it- I thought I wanted B-1s, but was mistaken LOL- and since it was given to me by a sponsor, it was a REALLy good trade.

You a racer? There is a formula behind it- I have got sponsors for others in my home state here- alot of racers don't like the effort that goes behind putting up with sponsors crap though LOL

This car never made it to the project stage. So sad. It burned up in a forest fire where I had it stored, I thought very safely, in Alaska, was hoping to bring it to Hawaii. They are so hard to find at a reasonable price now!
