The Good Wife's Guide
This same "guide" was also featured in the plot on a recent episode of the TV show "NCIS" where a wacko kidnapps and chains a prospective "good wife" to the wall of an undergound bunker.

I was in Ergonomics lab class going over major bones of body when the occipital bone was mentioned. Being the only married guy in class (other than prof) I calmly described its position as the bone on the back of the skull that will eventually get smacked flat by the wife over time.......the prof just
I, too, married a Southern Woman, but she thinks her job is to question EVERYTHING I do - just to make sure I have thought about what I am doing and make sure I am not spending money she could spend on "something better"
If I showed her this I might see her again in a few days, when the swelling goes down

I just e-mailed this to my wife and this is her reply:
You can have all of this and more. Just figure out a way, to support me in the way I have been accustomed, without me going to work. I'll stay home and make sure you get it all....
Man I got to win the loto

Well ... Here is the revised copy for 2005
The Good Wife's Guide
- Order out, you are busy and have a job too.
- Clear away the clutter. Throw all his hunting stuff and golf clubs in
the closet!
- Minimize all noise. At the time of his arrival, turn down the huge
loud TV and stereo that he bought.
- Be happy to see him, he should great you with a hug and kiss.
- Allow him to think that you are listening to him.
- Don't greet him with complaints and problems - he ignores you anyway
- Don't complain if he's late home for dinner or even if he stays out
all night. Throw all his crap out the window.
- Arrange his pillow over his mouth and nose while he sleeps if he
thinks that this list is ever going to happen.

I'm lucky to be blessed with a lovely wife who trys hard to make my life easier. (No my wife is not looking over my shoulder) When I read the part about the house being quiet when I get home, I got a big kick out of that. It seems just the opposite at our house, the more tired I am the louder everyone is. My wife was taught respect when she was growing up and it shows in the way she carries herself now.
I stopped by a co-workers house to pick him up for a fishing trip out on Lake Michigan, and his wife greets me by telling me how useless her husband is. She proceeds to berate men in general and tells me women don't need men around at all. I had to walk away just to get her to shut up. Who could stay with a woman that would say something like that to a complete stranger. My wife may feel the same way at times but she would never say so in public.
