One is standard equipment. The second was an option.

LOL. Funny you post this up. I was going to start a thread about this the other day.

But your 100% right. I drive about 50 miles a day round trip and out of lets say 50 Chevy trucks I see, at least 20 or so have this light issue. It realy boggles my mind??

I agree it is very common.... most of them that I see are missing one of the daytime running lights... never noticed if it is always the same light (drivers or passenger side)?

It's because they are on so often. I had a 99 Chevy truck and I could drive through the shadow of a tree and they would come on. I hated them.
On another note, it seems like every Ford HD truck has one or two cab lights out.......

What a funny post. For the longest time, I thought they designed the trucks to have one running light on purpose, because every truck I would see only had one working.

I had a 2000 GMC that had a burnt out daytime running light. I remember at the time the average I heard was around 20K miles and they would burn out. I never did replace it, I figured once the other burnt out they would mach again but it never did.

GM made the minivans (Venture, I think) that ran all of the time with the ambers on. I thought it was illegal in CA to drive with one's parking lights.

Yeah but then it also seems that Cummins woulda figured out something bout the KDP. Or better yet its pretty amazing to me at least that it took dodge 9 YEARS to figure out that their 2nd gen track bars ain't worth the metal they're made of...
