Truck is '00/1500/5.9 gas/46RE/4WD/135kmi.: problem CEL/P1740 code. Replaced filter (old fluid clean/no burn smell), while cleaning magnet (pretty fuzzy), found small "L" shaped piece of sheet metal about 1/2" wide bent into a right angle with 2 legs each of about 1/2" long, had wear mark on inside of 1 leg like from a rod /cable pushing on it. Broken cleanly, cannot see where from. Any ideas????? Thanks for help on this, first venture into an auto trans.
