Thumbs up

The Ballard company has 250KW natural gas fuel cells in operation for a coupla years now that seem to be stuck forever in evaluation mode. Their site seems more interested in getting investors than selling the things in my opinion. Their #1 good point is the ability to make electricity from natural gas or propane internally converted to hydrogen instead of straight hydrogen gas as others require.

The MP&L company has decided that it would be a bad decision to go into that kind of business.
Thanks everyone for your responses. Have learned something from what y'all have told me and may use it somewhere down the road.

I think NG gensets have their places. We have some food processing plants around us that have HUGE gensets that run on NG. If they have a power outage these things kick in and they have no spoiled food. At that point I don't think they care about the costs of fuel.
