Free Car!!!
Ok, not that I have your attention.
A buddy was given a car.
1994 Maxima with almost 200K on the clock.
Problem is the marker lights dont work.
brakes lights are fine. These are combination lamps with the marker lights.
turn signals and flashers are fine. These are separate lights anyway.
The fuse is good.
Can someone point me to the relay for the marker lights? I think its on the right side of the engine bay, but im not sure.
Also, any other suggestions on where to check voltage (ie, a circuit diagram) would be appreciated.

Is it just the rear marker lights, or all of them?
If it is just the rear, make sure you have the right kind of bulb in the right socket. I know that sounds obvious, but I wasn't paying attention and placed a single element bulb in one of the two element sockets on my 92 Maxima and it caused all sorts of crazy issues, as it would short across the two circuits. My parking lights would come on any time I pressed the brake pedal. My cruise control would not work when my headlights were on (because the marker light was back-feeding the brake light). Like I said, all sorts of crazy stuff. And it took me a while to trace the problem.
Just look at the number of posts on the bottom of the bulb compared to the number of connectors on the bottom of the bulb socket.
And if it becomes too much of a problem, I'll be glad to take the car

Its all the marker lights.
this car has combo lamps for the rear marker and the brakes. Im not sure if the front is a combo lamp or not.
All the marker lights are out. both front and rear.

most likely the headlight switch. My son had a Nissan Pulsar and we ended up just wireing the markers and the flip up headlights to a toggle with a 30 amp relay. Headlights came on but wouldnt flip open and no side/running lights Worked great for a year and a half till the tranny went @278k

Headlight Switch
Had the exact same thing happen on a 96 Blazer, it was the headlight switch that you use in the vehicle to turn on the parking/head lights. Mine was about $20 for a replacement switch. It is not that hard to fix no need to give the car away for free.
