DETROIT — Ford Motor Co. is selling its Jaguar and Land Rover businesses to India's Tata Motors Ltd. in a $2.3 billion deal — less than half the price that the struggling Ford paid for the two luxury brands.

Wow, I bet their stock takes a tumble. Haha tell me im not the only one who chuckled a little when I read the name "Tata"? Someone? Anyone? Bueller?

Those guys have their hands in everything over there. We've worked with the consulting group. That whole company basically works on the premise of taking care of everything in-house. Rumor was that when they were building some new office buildings, they put out bids, then decided it was cheaper to buy all the equipment and hire the people to do it themselves. Then when they were finished, they turned all of those assets into their new construction company.

I guess the executives needed new cars, so it was just easier to buy out the automaker.

Well, I was thinking of some wisecrack about buying a pair of those cars just so I could claim to have "nice Tatas."

Then I realized two things: 1) I'm broke and 2) It's not really funny
