Flex agent

If I get time this summer,I may paint my truck. Is flex agent required for base/clear paint on urethane bumpers?I know you needed it for single stage enamel.

Depends on what system you are using, but general rule of thumb is that if the bumper in installed on the vehicle, you can skip the flex in the clear. Color coats don't need flex additive since they are so thin. Remember that if you use it, you need to use it in the primer and sealer coats, too.

Thanks for the reminder...Its been about 3 years since I painted my last car in base/clear.I should be ok without using a sealer, being that my truck would have a base/clear paint job and not enamal...
