Well, I'm in Dallas for about a week or so. I planned on warm to hot weather so I only packed shorts and some short sleeve polo type shirts. One sweater. BIG mistake. Its been in the low 50's most of the week. Midday temps are comfy but still brisk. I heard that next week will be hotter but I'll be back in N.Y. then.

Did you bring a cowboy hat & boots? Don't wear them with shorts. You'll be shot, hung, and towed behind a horse.

when I go to texas, its blue jeans, boots, and tee shirts. I throw a couple pair of shorts in just in case I hit the beach.
On a more practical side, jeans and a long sleeve shirt is the best desert wear you can find. Also, keep a hat handy.
