Orinda. I know Rossmore has tons of them, same with Saranap, see them all the time on lawns. This was taken at the shop in Walnut Creek.

He pooped in my bed too. Hmmm? Turkey Poop Bedliner?

We're just starting to see them out in Antioch and Black Diamond Mines, never seen them out there in 30yrs until now. We just get Possum sitting on your garbage can when it's dark out and your going to wheel out your can...Scares the ---- out of me every time.

Parents live in Vacaville (about 50 miles from you?). They never saw turkeys (except for the human kind) until about 10 years ago. Now they are all over. Less pheasants though.

I always thought that wild turkeys came in a bottle. Killed many of them, and didn't have to sit still and call them in close.

Still lots of Quail out at my parents place. IMO they are the neatest birds around. The sounds they make, the way they walk and the way they protect their young is very endearing.

Friend of my dads grinds the wild turkey meat with 50% cheapo pork sausage and some spices. It is really good.

Ha !

All you have to do is look her in the eye and say " I aint afraid of you, you turkey !" and punt her across the yard. Then you can pick up her chicks and throw them in the frying pan along with your morning eggs.

Turkey and eggs, spam and eggs, eggs and eggs...

God, I just get hungrier every time I read this thread
