75 in a 55?

N'ah, that ain't a speeding ticket.

97 in a 65 is getting a little better.
My dad once got one for about that, but he was really going about 120; he locked up the brakes when he say the cop and the radar gun didn't lock on until around the 100 mph range.

The first ticket I ever got was for "speeding overtaking and passing patrol car" hehehe, I realized too late that it was 2 State troopers in the car I was passing, so I just waved as I went by

That was a LONGGGGG time ago, and if I remember right it was about a 10 dollar ticket. Both the troopers were very polite and all three of us had a good laugh at my expense.

The speed limit had dropped about a mile back but I had forgot about that until I saw the 2 troopers giving me the "look at this idiot" look

Try to learn something from this ticket because they get far more costly as you start racking them up. I got 3 speeding tickets on the Interstate between DC and Ft Bragg NC in one week. That was in 1985 and the last time I let myself drive that stupidly.

I got a ticket once for "unreasonable and imprudent speed". I was showing off for some buddies bout 10 yrs ago, on the outskirts of town. i think it was 45 then and i dont know what i was doing, prolly close to 80. as soon as i spotted the cop i slammed the brakes hard. officer told me he knew i was going way to fast but couldnt get a read on me. he said he saw the front of the car drive down when i hit the brakes....lol

How does "82 and Excelerating in a 35" sound. I was a senior in High School. Leaving town, just got off the phone with the old man, he was yelling something about get home. I remember putting my foot down just as hard as I put my phone down. The 'ole girl sure could sing when you stomped on the loud pedal. But that was my 2wd with duals and big 3 inch pipe on a 350 chevy. 230 dollars later. Oh well, those were the days.

Let's see now....speeding X's xxx, illeagle turn X's 3, improper start X's 1, exhabition of acceleation X's 1, racing X's 2, anti-noise ordinance X's 1, passing in a no passing zone X's 2 (the only two I didn't deserve) and these are just the ones I can remember off hand and that I got caught.
But that was all a long time ago.
