First Concert

In light of the recent poll "Whats Your Music Preference" I decided to create a new thread about your first concert experience. Or if you like post up the most recent concert you attended.

I guess i'll kick this show off.

My first concert expereince was with Rush. It was their 30th Anniversary Tour. It was at the Sleep Train Ampitheater in Sacramento, Ca. Bar none it was the best concert I have attended, they played for about 4 hours straight. After they left the stage we cheered so hard they came back out and played a set of 3 more tunes. The light show was incrediable.

Feel free to share your experiences.

Willie, Pine Bluff Ark.

A girl I had never met before bought me the tickets and I got to stay with her.

I was stationed in Fla at the time. Having multiple boats at the time had nothing to do with it.

You lucky sun of a gun. I'd kill to see Zeppelin in concert.

I was shocked. We had realy lax security at the Rush show. Mabe because the theater wasn't inclosed and all the smoke could escape.

That was a truely awesome show.
The music was loud, but not so loud you couldn't understand what was being played/sung
(Unlike an AC/DC concert I attended)
It was the first time I saw a lighting effects show.
During a sweeet guitar solo.

How close were you to the stage?

I couldn't even imagine seeing them live. My uncle was telling me he seen them in Baltimore also. Don't recall the year though.

The Capital Center was a pretty small arena.
I was on the opposite side of the stadium from the stage, about 10 rows up dead center of the stage ~100 or so feet away as the stage was on the floor and took up about 1/4 of the floor.

Thats a pretty small arena. Do you recall what songs they played? Or is memory a little cloudy?

My 1st concert sucked really bad, I didn't even want to go. Mom's idea to take me to see New Kids on the Block, I hated it. So my 1st best concert was Lalapalooza. I had a blast and a bad sun burn. I forgot about it being outside all day. I've been to a few concerts, the most recent was Nine Inch Nails in Atlanta.
