Ed, Remember Kiss is younger than the Stones. If the Stones are on thier 5th farewell tour (I bet they'd just say it's one looooong tour not five) Kiss must have atleast 10 more in them.
When the Stones were first rumored to be playing Fenway Park last year (they did) the story was they wouldn't be able to because the field isn't handicap accessible.....for the Stones, not the patrons.

Man it was a long time ago, but I'm pretty sure my first concert was in 1967. I was 16 and went to see the Supremes at Steel Pier in Atlantic City.
The best concert was 1968, Cream at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia. I sat literally feet from Clapton, Baker, and Bruce. They were just hitting with Disraeli Gears and were practically unknown except for Clapton who came from the Yardbirds. That one still sticks as the best concert I ever saw, and I've seen a lot of the rock legends. A close second was Santana, 1969; Soul Sacrifice was absolutely electrifying.

Led Zep for me also, camped out for 2 days to get tickets. My father who was a Coke truck driver made a delivery to the auditorium the day of the concert and was offered tickets, he told them he didn't listen to that hippie foolishness and turned them down, he made sure to tell me that night at the supper table.

It was a BIG deal , people camped out for over a day just to buy tickets.
First concert was Matalica/GnR I think it was in 88 or 89 cant remember
Been to many since then, but I have two favorites:
George Strait- 3 or 4 years ago. Front row seats. George came down and shook my oldest, then six hand during a song. Hey, if you like country thats one man you gotta see before he stops touring.
Gary Allen- I saw him in Dec of 05. It was at a casino with a venue of about a 1000 people. Not a bad seat in the house. He put on a hell of a show.
