Firefox help

Firefox created a new profile for me and now I don't have any of my old bookmarks. I didn't delete the old profile just created a new one because it was giving me an error message that it was already in use, and subsequently I cannot find the old profile and bookmarks. I used windows explorer and found my old Mozilla profile manager but can't seem to find the one for Firefox. Any ideas so I can get my bookmarks back?

I've had that happen to me, but closing and restarting fixed that.

Opera, the browser, is now free. I use firefox and Deer Park (new firefox) but I also like Opera. If FF keeps giving you trouble, try one of the others (not IE).

I just fixed it. Had to go into some .ini file and change the default to 0 from 1 to bring up my old firefox profile and bookmarks. Still cant find the normal screen to change profiles but I guess it doesn't matter. I don't know about this latest Firefox upgrade but it has been causing me all sorts of problems. Did you get the latest firefox release Durasmack?

Firefox problems

What version of Firefox are you guys using? I've upgraded several times since v1.0, running v1.0.7 now and haven't had any problems.

Steve,

I have 1.0.7 also, but have had mucho problems with crashing the browser since installing it. I hardly had a licks worth of trouble with the previous versions and mozilla. I guess I should try out the new stuff (opera)as long as I can relocate my bookmarks.

maybe something didn't go to well with the install, might want to start over again and completely remove it from your system, you could bookmark all your favorites to msie before hand and that way you could re import them once you reinstall, unless you know the to save the file with your bookmarks. I am betting it is something that happened during the install, I.ve been usin firefox for ove a year and the only crashes I get are heat related( got this 2.8 chip runnin at 3.57 ghz and when the north bridge gets hot its not happy )
