Talking Finally pulled down a win!!

Friday night I won my first team roping. I won the first and second hole. It was so exiting. Finally, my first buckle!!! I have been trying so hard for so long, and finally everything came together. I must give all the glory to God, becuase without him, I would not have this ability.

I will post pics as soon as I develop them.

This was a saddle series, but this was the first one I attended. I had no shot at winning the saddle, but I could win the prizes for that night. I ended up helping the guy in second place for the saddle win it. He and I won first, and that was enough money to push him into first place for the saddle. I won the second hole with the guy who was leading for the saddle, but it wasnt enough money for him to win it since he was only leading by $16. My brother was third high team, but they were only paying 2 holes. I felt sorry for him, but thats the way it goes sometimes.

Afther paying my entry fees, I ended up clearing $120.00, and a very pretty buckle. We are heading to Laredo this coming weekend to try and do it again! Yall take care.

Phillip

Way to go Pard!

I can catch a sawhorse pretty good, but when things start moving, I have a few problems.

Roping is not as easy as some think. Winning is quite an accomplishment.

"Throwing a rope is easy......catching something is another story!"

Way to go Palmetto, the first buckle you win is always the sweetest.
