Fiberglass Shower/tub ??

What, if anything, will clean the soap-film and hard-water from a fiberglass shower/tub, without damaging the tub??

Scrubbing bubbles, and a lot of that other junk, just doesn't seem to do more than make a mess.

What would vinegar, or vinegar and salt, do for it?? eat a hole in it??

Thanks.

Never tried vinegar, but I know Fast Orange hand cleaner does a great job. I get the basement tub when I'm coming in from the shop. I also get to clean it up.

What a great place. We get to fix trucks, play with chainsaws, cook turkeys, and clean tubs.

Haven't tried it but I'd guess that some 'vette safe/fiberglass safe rubbing compound and your buffer ought to handle it just fine.

Go to Home Depot and look in the plumbing section near the tub and shower enclosures for a purple can called Gel Gloss. It is a polish/wax specifically made for gel coat finishes used in the boat building business for their molds. I use it on my fiver all the time.

Gel gloss is great but clean it with vinegar and baking soda first. The Gel gloss will help keep it clean longer.

Get a product called Kaboom. It comes in a purple bottle and can be found at Wal-Mart. It works great on hard water stains, soap scum, etc. Wear some gloves when using it though, it has a mild acid in the mix that will dry out your hands. I've used it on the dishwasher, tub, aluminum (as a brightener), and several other things that needed cleaning.

Go to walmart and get a bottle of ammonia. It will remove it and clear your sinus at the same time.
