Fellow former nicotine users...
The 12 gauge is what was tried one time way back in 1980. They got my vehicle but not me.
Had to use needle nose pliers to remove a .22 out of my left shin one time too.

A .45 would be the last smoke anyone would have. Ouch!
I sure do hope and pray you can kick that habit. I took my daughter over to my mom's today for lunch. My mom smoked a few on the balcony. My daughter asked me why Gammie's teeth are so yellow and how come she coughs so much.
Ah heck, I'd go down trying. One never knows where the ricochet will go if you're all shaky in withdrawals. LOL
You stay outta this Mr Battery Power Assisted Chair-man. Dat be you Chris.

After 20+ years of smoking I decided one day that I wasn't going to let a cigarette control my life, that, and the price went up to $3.00 a pack (yeah it WAS a while ago
)
There have been times that it would have been easy to give in and pick a smoke (crutch), but I've always looked back at years of being clean and don't want to start all over again at day one.
Good Luck Amigo, you're stronger than a craving.

I won't. I can't sit here and tell anyone how to quit. I would like to quit and at $7 a pack, I could have my new truck deleted faster and other cool stuff done. I have changed my diet. 1 thing at a time I guess.
I bet if I backed down on the groceries a bit I could retire.

Do you mean to tell us...MARINE...that you dont have enough self dicipline to control cravings.......suck it up MARINE ! (Done in my best drill instructor impression)
On a side note, I have been chewing for 39 years now , minus a few that I quit and restarted. I just dont want to quit is all. I like to chew snuff and its an enjoyment for me. What I have come to find out is ....I was just used to the habit of Chewing on something of having something in my mouth. If I put something in my mouth in place of the chew....I had no problems in quitting.
It even got to the point for me that I eventually forgot about it. IMO, these nicotine patches and gum are just gimmicks for the drug companies...unless you get it for free, dont waste your time. If you want to quit, its up to YOU to do it, not relying on a crutch or something. I have also found out that if you want to quit ...YOU have to make up your mind that you WANT to quit. If you havent done that....you may as well go buy a can a chew and keep on chewing. YOU have to make the decesion on quitting.
I also smoke once in a while , but it is something that I dont have to have, thus its not an addiction, as I dont have to have it. Its ultimately up to you.

Dude, don't talk to me about self discipline... if I ain't choked out some young punk yet, I got discipline... ha ha.
I was a copenhagen snuff man...
Don't get me wrong, fellas, I've been on the wagon for a while. August was 9 months ago, so I think I'm doing pretty good. Just run into a rough spot.

I chewed Cope for 15 years and had my last one December 31 1998. Haven't had a chew since but I do in my dreams!!
Also, my weapons in my dreams always have really awful triggers! What gives?!
Just hang tough and don't do it! It took me about a year before I quit reaching for it.
A bad vice now is really good cigars, I have one or two a month but I do not inhale!! Ha ha. I do not, however, crave chew anymore, but then its been a dozen years.
Hunting, fishing and baseball is when I miss it the most.
I know you guys know how to be tough!! Good luck. If all else fails have your CO order you to quit!!

After about 20 years of cope and skoal, I quit. Tried cold turkey but ended up taking about 1 year to fully quit. I have been tobacco free for 6 years this Jan.
The thing that got me through the cravings stage was every time I had the craving, I would look at or think about my daughter..... No way in hell I will let something like tobacco mess up my life and take me away from her!!!

Stand tall, don't let that crap control you. I can't believe you claim to quit but also confess to picking it up 20 or so times since.... That's the reason you get the cravings.
I quit 6 months ago. Quit. Coldturkey. I rarely get the urge, after about 2 months they go 99% away.
I did this a couple times before cold turkey and it was a gift pack of Cuban Cohibas, weakness, and a bad week that got me started again. The other time I started back was because I wasn't serious about it.
And I do hate that I've gained weight, but I'm hitting the gym to loose it. I'm facing the fact it might take me 8-12 months and changing my diet to get back to where I was. Although I'm jacked up with a beer belly right now, I should probably start running
. After a few months I'll be looking better than I did before quiting.
