Feb 27 Improved LEGGroom BreakROOM ends on Mar 6

Altered the phoo00 f0r Awl uv Ewe.
Put in a new ventilation system as the fumes are bit too much from the pho0o0

Enjoy the goo.

Did I mention I have one more day to go? And then?

on edit, I painted the cooler and added some shelves in there. I hear a noise over in the west corner of the round room. Sounds a bit like a chainsaw.

Enjoy the wk fellow DTRonians and be thankful for what you have.

Morning all from Paradise.
Thanks Scotty for opening the new breakroom, for the, for the ....coffee. That's it, the coffee, aka goo. Smells a bit better in here today too, but a tad noisy. At least this week there is no flying stuff that was promised last week, but never did materialize.

Going to be a busy February for me as I have just decided on a trip I need to do, (leaving April 1) so need to pull my truck apart and do lots of overdue pm. Also need to do a bit of the same on the RV. Not going to be that long a trip, maybe only 4,000 kms, but don't want any mechanical problems, particularly when I am on those long semi deserted roads thru the desert and especially the mountains. May have time to meet some DTR denizens on this trip as I will spend some time just north of Houston.

Good news. No snow, no ice, no earthquakes, no .... well, you get the picture. No throwing things at me, be nice.

And then WHAT? Vacation? Going to finally get rid of that nasty virus that requires a hospital stay? Checking yourself into a rubber room? WHAT??? TELL US!

Morning all.

Today is Sunday, February 27th.

On this day in 1801 - The city of Washington, DC, was placed under congressional jurisdiction.

1827 - New Orleans held its first Mardi Gras celebration.

1896 - The "Charlotte Observer" published a picture of an X-ray photograph made by Dr. H.L. Smith. The photograph showed a perfect picture of all the bones of a hand and a bullet that Smith had placed between the third and fourth fingers in the palm.

1922 - The U.S. Supreme Court upheld the 19th Amendment that guaranteed women the right to vote.

1933 - The Reichstag, Germany's parliament building in Berlin, was set afire. The ***** accused Communists for the fire.

1939 - The U.S. Supreme Court outlawed sit-down strikes.

1951 - The 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was ratified, limiting U.S. Presidents to two terms.

1973 - The American Indian Movement occupied Wouned Knee in South Dakota.

1981 - Chrysler Corporation was granted an additional $400 million in federal loan guarantees. Chrysler had posted a loss of $1.7 billion in 1980.

1990 - The Exxon Corporation and Exxon Shipping were indicted on five criminal counts in reference to the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill.

2002 - In Boston, twenty people working at Logan International Airport were charged with lying to get their jobs or security badges.

2011 - Charlie Sheen announces he wants 10 million dollars for the publishing rights to the memoir he is currently writing. DON'T MISS OUT<> INVEST TODAY!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
This is for the people who worry about their weight; check the kind of shampoo you use, if it says "for extra volume and body" stop using it and switch to Dawn dish washing soap. It says "dissolves fat that is otherwise difficult to remove”.

Morning. February going out like a lion here. Plowed 10 inches after work last night, had to call cars in for overtime for the afternoon yesterday to cover crashes. A couple more crashes this morning and freezing rain on order for tonight.

Blueberry turn overs for breakfast.

Scotty, you go to Detroit public schools?

Hey Stan, February is over.

Really? Where you went to school did they teach you that there are only 27 days in February?
When does your winter end? July 4? When does it start again? July 10?

Hi ya, cold and windy this morning. The wind is howling like a pack of sled dogs at feeding time. It's so windy, we're getting someone else's snow. You know its windy when the the lost and found section is 3 pages of people looking for their or found someones garbage can. You know it's windy when the flag pole is looking for something to grab onto.
Good coffee by the way.

Wink

hey fellas!! good to hear from ya Madhat!! wondered if you were uber busy...

easy on the trip Stan, go visit with Blake and let us know if he is real.

hey Cougar! keep that wind up there, we had one blow last week that was an all night watch, enough of that! where are you in alaska anyways?

Don, sounds like you will be bored in Lansing...

did not want to hike a trail today, deep snow and falling limbs. so we took the four wheeler to retrieve a neighbor's tree climber. never checked the gas (figures). so we hiked the two miles back, uphill, in deep snow....

I like all the LEGG room in here now, Scotty you really made this place more comfortable for us tall long LEGGed members. I swear the Breakroom was originall build for Wood Elves, Gnomes, and Hobbits.

Evening DTR. Relaxed for part of saturday morning and then worked in the garage most of the day till the SIL and BIL came over. Wife made pancakes this morning for breakfast then were went over to the SIL/BIL's place for the afternoon. I helped him with the engine in his 2000 T/A WS6, he spun a few bearing in it about 7 months ago. He had most of the engine apart so we took the main caps, front cover, rear cover, crank and cam out of it today. Before he spun the bearings the car only had 50k miles but was putting out around 550 hp. I think he's going to stroke the engine to a 383 when he rebuilds it.

Relaxing tonight.
