farienheit 911

My wife and I watched 911 last night, seemed pretty one sided, I was curious beig a canuck what the american people thought of the documentary by micheal moore. The way I see it and watch the news there was alot of assumptions on Bush's part or am I wrong? (espiacally the one about Bush planning 911 to simply pass the patriot act?) I may be opening up a can of beans but I found the show very interesting. I only wish they would do some research like that on the door ***** that are running our nation .

Michael Moore is a big fat idiot. lol Nothing in that movie is true. I won't even watch his movies anymore.. I think he was abducted by aliens and has had one too many [edit] probes. I have met very few people that liked Michael Moore and oddly enough they were on high dosages of medication. Just my never to be humble opinion.

Pretty one sided?

That movie was 100% left-wing propaganda!

Moore rearranged reality, literally by editing. I've only seen snippetts of the film (wouldn't waste my money) and heard people who were interviewed in the film telling that what they said in the movie was completely changed by editing.

Example:

There was a congressman whom Moore stopped on the street and asked if he would would send his son to Iraq (I think that was the question).

Moore edited out the congressman's response, which was "Yes, in fact my son is a US Marine and already is in Iraq!".

The whole move was a load of crap. Even X-NYC Mayor Ed Koch agrees that it is.

Moore did more damage to the Dem party than the Dems themselves. He was a great asset to the GOP!

What I find the funniest about these Micheal Moore threads (have seen a few on other boards) is most peoples responses;

Michael Moore is a big fat idiot

Moore has had one to many cheese Burgers what a Big Fat Moron

Is that the best people can come up with? What does him being fat have to do with the issue at hand? Calling him a fat idiot doesn't exactly scream well informed or look all that credible. How about a point by point rebuttal with some facts ? While it's definitley VERY one sided if even 10% of it is true, that scares the crap out of me. Don't get me wrong I'm not a liberal (I hate the way people try to make politics 2 party black and white, it's not that easy) but I am open minded and it seems like anytime any one posts anything that is not pro-Bush it's immediatley dismissed as "left wing liberal media" and therefor false.

triplenickel, Moore was fortunate enough to have enough money to put his view of the whitehouse into a movie. That movie was entirely propaganda. He edited the sh*t out of a view clips to make that movie and make it look and say what he wanted it to say.

That movie was nothing more than left wing propaganda.

I keep hoping that Michael Moore and those like him will move to Canada like they said they would.

Triplenickel, I'd love to give you the point by point rebuttal that you're asking for but I've never seen the movie. I refuse to put more money in his pocket by watching it. My judgment of the movie is based solely on knowing Michael Moore's idiotic tendencies and what I've heard others say about it.

Probably the reason why people called him a big fat idiot is because there is a book by David T. Hardy called " Michael Moore is a big fat stupid white man". And the term fits.

That movie was entirely propaganda.

So there is not one single fact in it?

It sure does fit, But again I ask what does that have to do with his political views?

I understand your point triple but my point is why bother? It would be like arguing with a mental patient and trying to convince them that they aren't Jesus. I don't see the point of debating stupidity. It's kind of like trying to teach a pig to sing... it wastes your time and annoys the pig. < pun intended >

Tripnickel, why would you lend any credence to a movie that even liberal Dems say is complete propaganda?

Why would anyone waste money on such crap, unless they were liberal enough and desperate enough to be taken in by left wingers like Moore. It's a sucker play (no pun intended).

Even level headed lefty Dems have said over and over again that it's complete BS. Ed Koch for one. Joe Leiberman's another.

Moore proved to be a huge liability to the Dems and it's no wonder why.

His movie is an insult the intelligence of the American public and if that's all the far-left has to offer, they'll be out of office for a long time.

MM twists facts and interviews so bad that you can't believe anything that comes out of his mouth. I did not even bother to see 911, I seen enough of his "stuff" in past movies to more than get my fill.

Hoss..........

Canada doesn't want Michael Moore, you are welcome to keep him.

I can't understand why I felt compelled to spend $7 to see that absolute pile of trash in the theater??

I thought I was going to see "another viewpoint" and something that was labelled as a "documentary".

Disgusting!

I have never seen a more biased, slanted farce of a film in my entire life!

Others have complained that views are slanted in this thread by calling M.M "fat" etc.

Well,
half of the basis of Moore's film was by taking the same ridiculous snipits of bush not looking his sharpest and twisting them into propaganda.

WOW Michael!! George must be evil 'cause you keep playing that clip of his shifty eyes!. What a farce. I'm repulsed.

If anyone had to watch that film to find out that the Bush Family are "Oil Boys" than they should probably have their right to vote refused anyway.

Does anybody else find it humorous that leading up to the election, all the dems could do was attack with garbage propaganda because they had no facts or plan of their own to promote. And now we read here a few folks attacking moore the same way with really no point by point rebuttal, but now its all of the sudden its time be open minded?
I agree its important to have an open mind, but considering the source of that film, and knowing other views of moore, I will politely pass.
