Polished the wife's headlamps today. It's amazing how yellow these plastic headlamps get over time. At least now she should be able to see a little better at night.

This guy was driving around my neighborhood this week. I'm not sure but I'm thinking that all this free stuff is just a big scam, and he's just trying to lure a young fella, like myself, into his van.

Free kittens, indeed. Now, free puppies, and I might be tempted.

47° windy and rainy. Reports of the first snow by this weekend still hold. Got the snow tires on the old ladies Subaru yesterday, getting new tires for the Aspen today. Holding off on the trucks until winter gets a firm grip. I also need to set up the timer and put out the power cord.
Bought a 100+ year old secretaries desk to restore. Not in too bad of shape. Won't take me long to fix it. Right now my desk is 2 stacked bin boxes topped with one of the wife's cutting boards.

No, no, no, that is not the mosquito netting! The mosquito net is on the window. This is the burglar guard, another kind of pest Sheesh, some mothers kids! If it is possible to twist things or get it backwards, they do.

We do get mosquito's here during the rainy season. Not as many as usual this year and for the first time noticed that these mozzies are smaller than usual, but more aggressive. My wife is a mosquito magnet and these love her. They tend to leave me alone, but unfortunately, not entirely.

Goodness - - it is all ready Wednesday. Can't believe it. Been to busy all week. Back is telling me horrible stories. Replaced our
garbage disposal yesterday. Oh, I had soooo much fun bent all over working under the sink. Horrible. And, of course, it did not
go in without creating problems. My last time getting up off the floor was almost a disaster when my hand slipped hanging onto
the sink/counter top. But, no leaks and works beautiful. Woke me up often through the night. …….

Enough of my hurts - - good news for you. Fresh coffee and ph00 are on the counter -- BUT, could not rustle up any goodies.
Off to the eye doc this morning to prep for surgery. Joy joy.

Hey Stan - - those mosquitos in Alaska - - - they have named them the State Bird.

Me gone...…………………………..

Nice work on the cabin Stan. interesting build technique.

Good to hear you are getting settled in and snow tires mounted before snow flies cougar.

T-man, did you get any of those free kitten from the old guy in the van? Hit that headlight with some clear coat after you buff it clear as it will slow down the yellowing process.

Bob, you have to take it easy down there buddy.

I had the out door wood stove going yesterday to take the chill out of the shop. It seems to be running well. I have 6 cords of cut and split firewood being dropped off this weekend. The old '95 12V needs some minor work and a state inspection before I have the winter beater with a heater up and running for the salty roads.

I left some apple fritters and a pot of hot water on the counter for tea and coffee.

Where is that Oliver character? What a bad boy. He brought in horrible stuff yesterday - - he knows I cannot resist apple fritters - - and I am
on a diet. Oh help me someone - - come in quick and eat those stupid things before I can no longer resist. Lost 15 pounds so far and want to
keep it going for another 10. ………..

Made fresh ph00 and coffee and left fresh OJ in the box. Now, grabbing my ph00 and try to get out of here before succumbing to temptation.

Here you go, a close up look at the sillar and the joint. We chose a light colored sillar the blend in with the site. Sillar blocks come in many different colors. This block will darken slightly once the sealer is applied.

Wanted to also show how the joints are pointed. Think this kind of joint is called a raked joint because the nail head in the block of wood is raked back and forth across the semi cured cement achieve this look.

Fritters, hmmmmm. Where are they? Who scoffed them? Oh well, did not need them anyway.

Bob, you falling apart, piece by piece? Does not sound very good or pleasant. Losing weight is good, but is not easy. Been working on this myself and am now at the same weight I was in my late teens.

I that some of you are having rain. Down here we are supposedly in our rainy season, but so far this year the rain has been very sporadic and not much. The farmers are suffering. My water bill for the law sprinklers is high as I need to use them more often, but even so, my lawn does not look that good. Normally at this time of year we need to mow almost weekly, but is closer to monthly.
