Question Explain this Seymore.

Well how do you explain this?
2 days ago I found my truck was was almost empty again, so I found the cheapest station around and I put in $50.00 and wow.. I almost filled it up. I paid $2.49/ gallon, Now this is the cheapest in the area as most of the stations are $2.55, $2.59 and up. Anyhow I had to go into L.A. today so I got it down below the 1/2 mark, as I was coming home I went past a Union 76 station right off the freeway and I couldn't belive my eye's.. The diesel was $2.39/ gallon, so I pulled in and took on another $40.00 and filled the tank.
Now.. how can all of the stations be charging $2.49 and above for diesel and the NAME brand station that was $2.59/ gallon just yesterday suddenly $.20 cheaper today?
Did they somehow get a load of CHEAPER fuel and decided to pass it on to the customer or did the price of crude for this station go down just last night? OR are we getting screwed and they are charging whatever they can get away with.
This particular station has done this quite a few times in the past and I am not complaining but I am just wondering how they do it? Are they for some reason taking a big cut into their profits to help out us poor people that have to spend aound $100.00 a week to drive our trucks? NOT.

First they heard the tanker got grounded off Washington and shot the price up. Then they heard it wasn't leaking and brought it back down a bit. Or was it because of the explosion in Texas?!

I think that they have a roulette wheel and spin it once a day. It's $2.49 here for #2 diesel too. The sad thing ... just a year ago when gas was $2.50 I bought the diesel because diesel fuel at the truck stop was $1.25. Right after I bought my diesel the price jumped up. Now diesel is the same as the mid grade stuff.

Man I felt good when the price dropped a couple days ago to 2.57, was as high as 2.69 a week or so ago. Diesel here is .10 to .15 higher than premium. A few weeks ago there was a rally up at the state capitol by the truckers. My friends brother was there. He said the Governor came out and made a statement about plans to build a bio diesel refinery in the Salem area. Hope it wasnt bs

Hey, BioDiesel is the way to go except for the B-20 that is commerically made is usually higher than the dino., so where are we saving any money?
We already know there is no shortage so I think they are going to screw us on both homefronts. They use all new products but we can use Waste to make ours.
Anybody notice just how many accidents are happening involving petroleum products lately?
Here in Southern California 2 days ago an underground pipeline carying crude suddenly ruptured and spilled into a lake.
Once biodiesel is into production, will there start being great soybean disasters or silo explosions so the prices can be jacked up on us again?
Just had a few moments to reflect and I scared myself again. Jim.

BTW anyone know if it can be made from HEMP oil?

Yay! I'm not the only one that thinks that way!
(Now everybody yell at Jim rather than me... )

And yes, hemp is a very good source of biodiesel. A lot of folks swear that it produces more oil than soybeans or corn, which I believe. None of today's popular crops are really that oily.

Keep in mind that we're not talking about marijuana, just hemp. As in the plant that you make ropes from. I'm not a botanist, but they are two different plants. One is fun while the other is used to make scratchy T-shirts. At least that's what I've always thought...

I think that the only problem is that regular old hemp is outlawed someplaces for some reason.

Hemp is outlawed because their seeds contain TRACES of THC.

That's what that website says... Traces, but not enough to actually get high off of... The DEA doesn't like it because it would cause people who eat regular hemp to trigger drug tests. Not that I know why you would eat hemp...

Then again, you could probably distill the trailings off the plants and get a really concentrated THC dosage somehow...
