Ever forget to unplug your truck?

I've done it twice. How many times have you drove off and jerked the extension cord out from under the garage door? Now I fold my mirror back when I plug in to remind myself to do something before taking off! Us okie's don't need the heat much, but for you guys in Canada that plug in all the time, I bet you are guilty a time or two!!!

Surely I'm not the only one!

It is right next to the "I can't figure out how to modify a poll and add another choice" option. I was going to add it for you....guess not. Sorry!

I usually do it once or twice early in the winter season, then I start remembering it. I never have been aware of doing it, I just come home wondering who dragged my cord half way down my driveway

It cost me a new heater cord once, for about $14.00 at the Dealer. After that I filed down the plugs a little so it slides in and out of the cord pretty easy without putting a lot of pressure on it.

Sometimes you have to "Dummy Proof" things, when you are a Dummy

Well, that option is right next to the "I have a 45ft x 45ft shop with so much stuff in it I can't possibly squeeze my truck in my 20ft door due to the clutter" option! Maybe this winter I can get the old lady to clean it for me......YA RIGHT!!!

Not with my trucks, but with my tractors. I have a 730 Case which has indirect injection. So, it takes good compression, good batteries, good fuel and the right moon for it to fire off when it's cooler then about 40 degrees. So I just put my battery charger on it and set it to 50 amp for a quick start.

I've driven off several times with the charger still attached. Now I've made a handle on the charger which I hang on the loader arm so I see it!!!!!

I ran over a charger with a Cat once. Directly under the track. I learn slow.

Only did it once, when we first had the truck and lived in Sedro -Woolly WA.
Back the truck out, so the cord unplugged itself, did not break nothin'
Now I use the cord around the mirror trick, so far so good.

Once, now my plug's 3 posts are bent at a nice angle. I leave the hood open enough to notice it when I get in.

Yes. I know what you mean about the angles! Mine too! If you always leave it so when you back out it will unplug straight, no problem. But when the cord comes from the side and goes under your wife's car, then you get the angles! No....really... I havn't ruined my timer yet but I have donated a cord somewhere on the road last winter!

I think all the ones voting "I've never done it. I'm smarter than that. " , either live in warm climates, or are in denial.

This was asked last year and someone said they never did it but once in a while they would come home and find that someone had laid their extension cord out nice and straight, down the driveway.
