I need to pick up a stand to pull my motor apart, just wondering if I should look into either one or at something else. Don't want something that will bend or break as I'm working. Thanks.

Well the motor weights 1350#. I'd imagine the 1500# would hold it. It would be close though.

For jack/stand type of equipment you should go with equipment that is rated at least double for the weight you are working with to be safe.

That being said OTC's Scorpion brand of equipment is probably some of the best quality stuff I have seen for the money.

In your post I would pick the 2nd one you linked to if you are set on one.

On another note the Dodge B series 5.9's weigh in around 1000lbs +/-
