Can you say Angoli-land

The outlook is not so bad in my neck of the woods but I am in Angoli-land to chase the almighty buck. My wife is going back to school so she can keep up with the college "kids".

Sad thing is around here, there are employers who just want you to show up for work, and they are having a hard time finding applicants.............

Yea, tough economy.

We are having problems finding decent employees. Everyone wants to make 50,000 a year to start out.

Nothing like some job security is there?

I am thankful that the wife and I both have jobs that are always in need. She is a senior accountant, currently for a mortgage company so her current job is a bit shaky. But accountants are the last people to loose jobs, when people make money, you need them to count how much was made, when people loose money they need someone to count how much was lost.

Me, I am a auto tech and people are going to need people working on there car for a while longer yet. If economy goes well, work at the dealership, if bad, hit the independents.

Wife and I both work for the Fed Gov't, I am tenured in already and being a vet it is pretty daggone hard to let me go. Hers is one of those jobs that they always need someone to check other peoples stuff, plus she's really good at it.

I deliver welding gases and supplies, most of my customers are involved in manufacturing. They are still keeping me plenty busy, I have not seen a slowdown at all despite the doom and gloom on the news.

I'm not worried about my job, as long as the company remains in business they will have a job for me. They know when they have found a good employee, and they try to keep those folks around no matter how business is.

The company I work for is expanding into new territory, we're opening our fourth location this summer and I'll be working out of there.

anything to hold your attention. Tell you how bad it is and how much worse its going to be. No one wants good news. good news doesn't make ratings.

I work for an oil field service company. we're kinda busy at the moment.
