Good morning to all you sleepy heads. Oh wait, it's Sunday, so will allow you to sleep in or a few minutes more.

Still moving around in Texas and now in hill country. Always enjoy this part of Texas. Going to be crossing the border in a few days and expect to be home by the weekend.

Enjoyed the Nimitz and the Pacific war museum yesterday as I am in the birth area of Admiral Nimitz.

Good coffee this morning for a change. It will help me plan the next leg of my trip which I am doing right now.

Good morning DTR !! Couldn't pass up the opportunity to post on 10-10-10.

Nothing I like better than watching the sun rise with a hot cup of coffee on a brisk morning ... life is goooood !!

Y'all have a fantastic day ... and please, take some time to remember and thank those who aren't here to enjoy it but rather out there in harms way ensuring that WE CAN !!

Cheers,
PISTOL

I won't. GET UP!

Morning.

Today is Sunday, October 10th.

On this day in 1845 - The United States Naval Academy opened in Annapolis, MD.

1886 - The tuxedo dinner jacket made its U.S. debut in New York City. Thank God too. I don't know what I'd do without my tuxedo dinner jackets!

1913 - U.S. President Woodrow Wilson triggered the explosion of the Gamboa Dike that ended the construction of the Panama Canal.

1938 - **** Germany completed its annexation of Czechoslovakia's Sudetenland.

1957 - U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower apologized to Komla Agbeli Gbdemah, the finance minister of Ghana, after the official had been refused service in a Dover, DE, restaurant.

1973 - U.S. Vice President Spiro Agnew resigned after being charged with federal income tax evasion.

2001 - U.S. President George W. Bush presented a list of 22 most wanted terrorists.

Slow history day.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes that something new to eat will have materialized?

Off to play with broken water lines.

The only reason you don't know that is because you're not a DTR Old Timer!
