can't give specifics, but another day of my family going through the ringer tomorrow. I'd appreciate it if anyone can say a prayer for us......

A word of praise as I haven't asked for prayer thru here but many others prayed. My doctor's release today, a year after my left hand table saw injury of 4 fingers, didn't lose em but still bad. Fusion surgery in March on 2 joints and all is well, flexibility and grip strength at 69# from 45 pre-surgery! God didn't make it 'easy' but gives us sustaining power to get through.

thanks scott and 04ctd. unfortunately, I guess He's got different plans, or the for whatever reasons didnt listen, because it went like hell. could have been worse though....so i guess thats worth something. all the same, i'm having a real hard time understanding why every time we take the high road and do the right thing, we get our (bottoms) handed to us.....

My best freind was in a sever car accident last week in Oklahoma. He was driving down to check out a new job offer and he was in a head on colision less than 20 miles from his destination. He is now in a coma in Joplin Mo. He has a shatered knee and some brain trama. I just returned today from visiting him and its hard to see my best freind laying there sleeping and not be able to wake him up. He has 2 sons back here in Iowa ages 5 and 8. they still dont understand why dad is not coming home and why hes sleeping this long. Its been over a week and I still get teary eyed every time I think abought him. He has had such a ruff life for the last few years and it finaly seemed like he was getting stuff straightened out. His ex wife had given him full custody of the boys and he had met a woman that truly loved him for all his quarky ways. I hope he never finds out that the person he hit didnt survive. He would never be able to live with himself if he knew he had hurt anyone else let alone caused anouther family to loose one of there loved ones. On the posotive side his fiancee was with him and she escaped with only minor injurys. She is at his side 24/7 sence she was released from the hospitle. He also responds to stimulus as well. He will move away from pain if you pinch him and when Lizz(his fiancee) tickles his nose he gets a ****** off look on his face and turns his head away from her. His eyes will open but the doctors tell us its his body dooing it and he isent actualy waking up. I personaly am not adoctor but I balive he is in there fighting like mad to get out. Me and Dan(one of his life long freinds) where at his bedside yesterday and when Dan and Lizz started talking he would instantly open his eyes. the doctors say its not his doing but I firmly balive it is. We were in and out of his room several times and every time we came in his eys were shut and the second he heard Dan and Lizzs voice his eyes popped open.

Sorry for the long winded post but Its realy hitting home now that Ive made the trip down to see him. I miss him terrably.

OUCH OUCH OUCH - - that is a tough one, BK. But God is bigger than any of our problems. He can intervene and bring him back to you. We don't know God's plans and sometimes don't agree with what He brings our way, but nothing ever happens to those that believe in Him without it passing by his muster. When we understand and trust Him in that fact, it makes it easier to accept. We don't know His full plan, only from our small human intellect. We never know what God wants in these acts that happen, but we must seek His face and try to find what He is trying to perfect in us. We will be praying for him - - you didn't tell us his name.

Sorry, ime not all with it all the time. His name is Chris Budden. We continue to get good news every day so Ime just waighting of the best news that he's awake. His knee was balived to be completly shatered and would need a full replacement but know they balive they can salvage it and fix it up, and they are gona remove his ventalator tomarrow because he dont need it anymore. The power of prayer is a strong thing.

 

Well we got soem more good news late this week and even some more today. He had surgery on his knee thursday to put it back together because it turned out it wasent 100% gone like originaly thought. Then later that day he tried to talk a little. He has a tube down his throat so he couldent get any words out but he tried. Then today they got him 100% weened off hte resperator. He is breathing on his own with the resperator set to pick up if he stops. Then today also his mom walked in the room and said his name and he opened his eyes and turned his head and actualy focused his eyes on her. He dident try talking but he is definatly in there just under the surface and its only a matter of time till he breakes threw.
