Bob, thanks for the update again. If we need to shave some heads to make her smile I'll volunteer mine and we could get a posse together and shave Scott.
Better have Bigger Protection if you try to shave chaikwa....eek. not a good picture afterwards either...
Fiver, my thoughts are with both of the ladies. Please know that steroids do have wonderful benefits past the initial temporary deformities. docs have it right by giving a lil here and there, never too much. you are in great hands!
Sending strength, Patience, Hope and Faith to continue healing to both ladies and their families.
even a safety Prayer for T rad and all of his activities....

Bob, thanks for the update. Ianna is still in my prayers daily. I believe that it is because of so many prayers that her bone marrow did forget how to grow new white cells, but the prayers woke them up and that is why the new cells are growing. PRAYERS DO WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also have Liz in my prayers. You too and the rest of Ianna's family.

Still have you covered along with your friends from here. I'm with Rick on shaving my head for her. My entire department did that for one if our guys. It was huge with his family. Maybe we could do a DTR head shaved collage?
Happy thoughts and prayers.

Hey, you are all too much - - thanks. At times I can sure use a kick in the tail to keep going. Get thinking about it all too much, then I have to hit my prayer bones and ask forgiveness for ever doubting the wisdom and knowledge of God in knowing what is best for me and my family, even it I don't see it or just have to ask "WHY US, GOD?"
On a side note, those little twins are now standing for as much as a minute, holding their heads up high and eyeballing everything in sight. Not bad for just under six week old and a month preemy. They are also now smiling when they look at my son. Well, I smile sometimes when I look at him too - - - with pride. He has been a giant thru all this.
Tnanks again,
Bob

AS OF THIS DAY, OUR GRANDDAUGHTER, IANNA, IS OFFICIALLY CLASSIFIED AS "IN REMISSION" FROM HER LEUKEMIA. PRAISE THE LORD.
The initial "INDUCTION" month of treatment has gone amazingly well. She had major testing yesterday and today and they find no Leukemia cells. That does not mean there are none lurking, but this initial month treatment is called "induction." It is their goal to have no active cells showing at the conclusion - - if this occurs, they refer to it as "in remission." Some make it, some do not. Many at Seattle Childrens Hospital are from all over the country that they could not get satisfactory results during induction and were shipped here for further treatment. Our little lady is clean. Now she starts the next two month stage of treatment. If all goes well, at the end she will have another major hit with chemicals to shock her system one more time. Then she goes on the maintenance routine. At the end of six months, all going well, she can return to her home. If she stays clean for 10 years, they will pronounce her completely healed.
So, keep our little one in your prayers, gang. I appreciate your help - this has been sooooo nerve racking. But God is good and is watching over my little one. She is going to come out of this clean and happy and normal. Thanks so much for you help, encouragement and prayers - - you are the best.

Thanks, gang. Had a long talk with mommy yesterday for the first time in two weeks. She had been so dragged out and just not with it. She was more relaxed and in control - - feel better about that. I think the news that wee one was in remission and on schedule really helped her mental attitude.
Appreciate your prayers - - stage two of treatments start tomorrow for two months. They sure have this down to a science. Great hospital - - if she has to have it, sure glad they are living in Seattle area.
OK, in from church and having a cup of ph00 and relax a bit.

Got a picture from Seattle of weeone at the county fair. She heard about it and wanted to go sooooo bad. Of course being around other people is dangerous due to infections catching her in this depleted state. Her tests were so good on Monday they said she could go - - IF - - - BIG IF - - - and they gave her all the restrictions of making the trip. They agreed, so mommy, daddy, the twins, Ianna and Auntie Kim (our daughter) all went. Ianna had a smile on her face while up on the horse on the merry-go-round. That is the first smile I have seen from her in 5 weeks. Made my heart go bump bump. Sooo good to see her enjoy herself. The new meds kicked in today and she is nausiated and will not eat - - this was expected. Guess she will loose that bloat and extra weight gain in a hurry. Good thing she has it - - sorta like the camel storing up his water.
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers - - she has a long hurdle yet to get over.

I told Maddi about your Grand Daughter being sick. she said; "Does she have a Teddy Bear to hold?"
Then she said; "I have lots I can give her one if she wants."
