Shortround .... I feel your pain with the cold weather down there. Ain't much stopping the wind out there except for an occasional cacti or sagebrush. But it sounds like you have created a good source of methane ... FIRE IT UP !!!

Gotta git to it. Down to the short strokes now.

Cheers,

Mornin all.

Busy weekend: Friday night part of wifes Bday present from daughter were tickets to go see a couple of comedians. It was for the Mustard Seed Christian humanitarian org. Had a live and silent auction also. Haven't laughed so hard in a long time. If you ever get a chance to see Ken Davis and/or Bob Stromberg do it. I think they have tapes out also. Really funny funny guys and don't have to swear or be crude to get a laugh.

Daughter is going for her 2nd Dan next month. Wanted some critiquing on her Taeguk's (patterns) and some one to throw around for her self defense. Oh yea, lets pick on dear old dad that hasn't practiced for a while. Isn't there a law that stops kids from assaulting their parents??? If she still lived at home I could ground her. She's doing very well, very proud of her.

Son phoned after church on Sunday. I think he misses us, or at least his mom's cooking. Said he would like to come out next weekend for a visit. Have to go to the grocery store and stock up me thinks. This visit could get expensive.

Do they supply the people you have to work with you gas tecks SR. It would be the right thing to do. For safety compliance you know.

Pistol, what about the poor maintenance people. They curse those engineers more than you do. Ok maybe not more, just as much.

Claude it's nice to see you both did well at the national level. You know your doing something right if your peers recognize and appreciate your talent.

Have a good one, have fun and drive safe.

Afternoon...
Scott, you ain't part of no union... keep yer grumblin up and you'll get canned...

Good morning this morning. Spent the majority of it taking everything out of the fridge and cleaning it, Marine Corps style. Now it's safe to store food in...

Ran some errands, and dropped off a really nice Dodge racing jacket the 04 gave me the other day. Getting the Cummins 'C' on it under the rams head. One place said that they'd charge me 250, and I almost gave up there. I checked another place on the way home, 50-75 bucks. I can live with that...

Bout to go to a football game, hope everyone is having a good one.

vacationhatout...

Afternooner all,

Cold front moved thru Houston, it now 59* with rain. Internet been up and down. Daughter home as there is no power at her work, up north of Houston.

Hat, is it "green day, fuzzy day or fossil day" in the 'fridg? Also, the janitor don't grumble, he won't get canned. I hear that his pay is gonna be doubled.
Need a pix of your new jacket when you get it back. 04 is good to you, did he adapt you?

I jobb it is money well spent to have the kid or kids come home for weekend dinner. Did that for a long time with mine. Good times and memories.

PW most engineers talk twice as much as they should and know half as much as they think they do. But you knew that.

SR put hot rocks in your pockets, they will keep you warm, and hold you down so you don't get blown off the end of the earth.

5erBob, just keep rubbing it in, the pool and jacuzzi, you might get invaded by them northerners. Prolly be a lotta fun in the sun.

One thing that I wonder about. I posted to this thread a couple of times so far this week, now there not here. Maybe I losing it.

Have a good un and be safe out there.

Old dog, I have seen a carving of salmon jumping in a stream, it was done with a split log, it was about 2 feet long. Was cool, forget where it was. Might have been in Canada.

Isn't that how most guys do it? Leave the dishes in the sink til you need them, then wash?

Actually, I AM part of a union. A farmers union in fact... the 'E.I.E.I.O.' And Davy's right, my pay IS gettin' doubled. Just ask Top!

Went and picked up our new fire safety trailer from the manufacturer today. Real nice unit! It's fairly heavy tho. The 'ol International knows there's somethin' back there!

Ahhhhhh .... thank you. I needed that laugh . Decided to head to the room, clean up and treat myself to a good meal and a "few" cold ones. We'll see how that ends up, here shortly .

Ijobb ... I try not to gripe too much about things like that, but after the second busted knuckle because of poor design ... GAME ON !! Funny thing is, that this blower came apart and went back together the easiest of the 3 despite all the calisthenics that I had to do to work on it.

Wife called today ... she is remodeling the bedroom. She pulled up the carpet to sand and paint the wood floor underneath and discovered a narrow piece of sheet metal running from one side of the room to the other, right down the middle of the room with about a million nails holding it down . God only knows what is waiting underneath this beauty. Knowing the previous owner ... I'm wagering on electrical wire....grrrrrr.

Y'all have a good un this evening,
PISTOL

It was "wife has not cleaned out the refridgerator for the last 3 years because no one has been around to yell at her" day. Lots of spilled stuff in there, no fuzz. I think I can hook up the janitor if I wanted to, send him a mail bomb full of decaf or something... 04 adoped me, I have his grandkids...

He's a good guy, but no one likes him because he's weird, so he pays people to hang out with him. Really, we have a good time together... well, as much as a senior citizen and some young 26 year old Marine and his family can have together... He has a heart of gold. Wish I knew him a lot longer.

Ding dongs... Kids are honest, tho. You can learn a lot from a little kid if you pay attention to them...
Thanks again for showing me a good time, DTR dad...

I guess that Top is old macdonald... I can see him shooting a chicken...

Nice nite, kids football team got whipped good, he's in the 7-8 year old league. The team they played tonight could have played freshman ball at the local high school. It was a masacare. (did I spell that right?)

Anyone seen Cin lately? I need to PM her and see how she is...

Later...

Howdy guys and gals..
been reading the posts, and it sounds like its been a busy week for everyone.

Mark, enjoy the time off, you certainly deserve it.. yea kids are great at seeing the truth in things that as adults we miss arent they?

Rob, remember theres always room for a sledgehammer. its kinda like Jello that way.....

Scott, is the trailer finished or do you now have another project? Hows Jake doin? you havent mentioned him in awhile..

Well ,the show went as expected, and I paid the bet( ouch).. actually considering the class and level of competition, we didnt so as bad as I thought we might( but not as good as I secretly had hoped)..
Didnt place in any of the classes we entered, but wasnt at teh bottom of the list either. My filly ( Vixen) did realy well for her first real show, the arena didnt bother her at all, and her first exposure to cattle was encouraging, she bit one and later , pulled loose from where she was tied to go chase another...
Our reining pattern was mediocre at best, and we had a Stallion put his nose where it didnt belong in during the pleasure class and she kicked out at him, disqualifying us... I will post some pictures as soon as the photographer puts them on her website..

well back at work for one day, then another 5 off.. man its rough sometimes....

It's 'semi-finished' I have to build bleacher style seating in the rear, install the smoke system, install the generators and carpret the floor and probably the entry ramp. But the interior partitions and doors are all built and installed and the whole thing is insulated, so that saves me a TON of time. This trailer was cheaper than any of the other bids we received and all the other bids were for a bare shell.

Jake's doin' fine... gettin' BIG! Doesn't quite fit comfortably on the front seat in the truck anymore if there's someone sitting in the passenger seat!

Sounds like the show was a pretty good time, even if you didn't place where you wanted to. Can't wait to see the pics so don't forget to post 'em!

Coffee & f00 is on. I'd make the tea for Claude but I don't have Kaley's sock!
