it seams like amiture radio would be right down your alley since their mishion it to provide cumunacation in case of emergancy or disaster .

 

It's been used in the past in emergencies, but it ain't my cuppa tea.

 

its not like the old days - you no longer have to learn code to get a lic- when i had my ticket you had to learn code -unfortanatelly there were bad things going on in my life that neaded attention and i dropped my lic- now i`m going to get it again
it was the only cumunacation available after katrina - unfortanatelly with all our modren electronics advances we have to fall back on proven systems in an emergancy

For the most part. Now I just gotta put a new 7-Way on the trailer. Broke it off while dragging it out of the ditch

Actually in the middle of a field. Would have been just fine if it wasn't for the 2 foot snow drift hiding the edge of the driveway. Once the trailer slipped off the edge it took the truck with it.

 

So after you got stuck, you were outstanding in your field?

what did ya do un load the tractor in the ditch ?

 

Had my 30 ft GN loaded with my Kabota tractor. I unloaded the tractor and tried to use it to pull out the truck. (Remember, wife cant help much with a newborn) The truck and trailer combined was to much for the tractor to pull out so I disconnected the trailer. The tractor is good sized with 4-wheel drive. Just used the bucket to make my way through the ditch
