She wasn't too happy.. Generally when I get home she needs a break from the little ones. Needless to say she didn't get one. Took me about 3 hours to get everything out

 

Isn't winter great? I hate it more every year. If it weren't for the humidity, I'd consider a move to a more southern state.

SOOOOOOOO I GET OUT MY FAITHFUL RANGER - DRIVE THROUGH MY YARD OVER AN 18+ IN DROP OFF IN TO THE LOWER DRIVE _ HOOK A CHAIN TO THE BACK OF THE TRAILOR PULL IT SIDE WAYS (REMBER ITS LOADED ) TO A POINT I CAN BACK DOWN THE DRIVE

NEEDLES TO SAY I WAS PI--ED -BY THIS TIME OF THE YEAR MY DRIVE IS HARD PACKED SNOW ABOUT 2 IN THICK - NOT A PROBLEM UNLESS I RUN IN TO SOMETHING LIKE THIS - AND MAKES PLOWING A BREEZ

Back at work so I actually have a moment to swing in for a cup of ....

Been having beautiful weather up here this week. +20-40*. The sun is out and has a bit of heat to it. Downright enjoyable. Been outside sledding, ice skating and generally having a good time in the outdoors.

Of course all the warm weather has turned the roads in to freshly Zambonied ice tracks...... Everywhere I go I see car after car after truck in the ditch or on it's roof in the ditch like people forgot how to drive again..... Now would be a good time to own a towing/recovery buiseness.....

Did I ever tell you how much I hate the dentist? Well, let me tell you - - - I know, you don't want to hear it. Holy smoke it hurts. Had a root canal last Saturday - - went in today for impreshions to make the crown. Sooooo, what happens - - my bridge gets pulled out trying to get the impression goo out. Mild yuk under there but now two more root canals before they can put on a new bridge. Did I ever tell you how much I hate dentists. He's a nice guy on the golf course, but did I ever tell you - - - - or yeh, I did - - twice. OWWWW IT ALL HURTS.

Claude - - neat story - - I have an FCC first class license, but carried Ham license in my younger years. Had a 100w - - 10 meter rig in my car. Coming home with two other guys from duck hunting in Minnesota at close to -40. Saw where the 8' snow bank was broken thru and thought I saw lights in the ditch as we slid by. Stopped, went back - - car in ditch - - lady thru the windshield laying on the hood, man all yucked up in the steering wheel. Grabbed blankets (always carried them up there) from the car and then fired up the rig - - I knew the frequency of the forestry and figured they would be closest thing around. Hit a Mayday on my radio on that frequency - - moment later a shaky voice answers - - seems he was snoozing in front of the radio - - they use 20w rigs - - knocked him over backwards in his chair he told me. We were able to keep the people warm and stop the bleeding until the ambulance got there. They both lived.

Gorgeous but cold day down here - - - AGAIN. Wow, sure wish this global warming thing would hurry up. Grabbing ph00 and get out of here and go do something worthwhile - - 3 hours in the dentist chair wasted along with my money.

So do you get a lot of gaukers now, slowing down to observe your neatly plowed out ditch with what appears to have been a scene of the apocolyps at the end of the trail?


Good story Bob. Today most would just dial there cell phone and after getting 2 miles down the road would only say, " I THINK it looked bad".

 

You could move down here. We could sit around the shop and throw welding rods at each other instead of insults in the break room....


Evening DTR, sitting here watchin a drill exit. Was told to prepare for a 0200 morning.
