DTR Breakroom with the finest Crude and one Angry Dragon! 01.15.12-01.21.12

Evening DTR.

Got plenty of coffee, tea, and ph00 for everyone. Stay away from the Dragon...he got into the leftovers from my dinner. I had stuffed cabbage!

Gonna be watching the Green Bay game tomorrow.

Shorts, thanks for the prayers for the nephew!

Prayers as well for the lil nephew.

finally home to snow and a house full, lots of stuff going on- all good. even the cat was entertained by the twenty somethings pulling a saucer sled around with the four wheeler, giving the uninitiated to snow, some country style fun.
I even got to play the drums on Rock band 3......(Peter frampton voice "Thank YEW!! smiley)

dragon is curled up on my feet, doughnuts all dreaming of DTR ankles they can bite....

Prayers sent for your nephew Matt, we are adding him to our Family prayers.

Mom good to see you, glad you are enjoying yourself like that, i have to admit I enjoy living where I get all the changes of season but I will admit I wouldn't mind if we just had snow for a couple weeks a year hehehe

My 49ers won their game today and advance in the playoffs...I don't know how far they will go but I have to admit there is something magical happening with that team this year I have gone a lot of years with them not doing so well but I have been a fan since I was 5 yrs old and stood at the fence watching them practice every summer......I have to stick with my Home town Team, even in the lean years I wear the red and gold

I think Ronnie Lott is watching them as well and he must be very proud of how the Defense is playing this year. I saw a lot of players step up today and make some really great plays......it is special to watch when it happens as some how they feel the need to rise to the occasion and play like they have never played before Go Niners!

Mornin folks. I just finished going through last week's breakroom. It looks like everyone is up to their usual shenanigans. It is good to know you count on some things staying constant in life. JWBM, quads and sleds are a great combination. We did the same for the kids on Christmas Eve. They loved it.
I have a great idea. Shorts suggested that she would bring the mead if Bark would bring the smoked salmon and they can meet in the middle. I just looked on a map and guess what, Dalemead, Alberta is just about halfway between DFW and Kenai. I will provide all the pepperoni sticks and kielbasa that anyone can eat. This is gonna be a tasty party and all DTRonians are welcome.
Winter finally arrived in southern Alberta. An Arctic system settled over us overnight and it is supposed to stay until the end of the week. Brutal winds, lots of snow and bitter cold for the next 5 or 6 days. Sure glad I put the snow chains on the snowplow truck yesterday when it was warm and sunny.

You could come up to Alaska. No state income or sales tax. No property taxes in a lot of places. Lots of places for your boat. You can play in the snow year round then come in for some frozen food, frozen drinks, and hockey games. Best part is they pay you to stay here.

Clear, sunny, and a tropical -38 here this morning. First cold we've had all year.

Spent some of yesterday on top of an excavator, -22 with a 25mph wind blowing on my butt, pulling the engine fan and drive apart. Catastrophic failure caused by a bad belt tensioner. By the time I was done, I think my posterior hairs were ordering wool sweaters. However, at least we know what to order for parts now.

Things are looking good into the new week, supposed to remain cool for a couple days, then back to whatever "normal" is now.

Have a good one

Take a tip from us Alaskans. You need to shove shrews down your pants. They take the bite out of winter.
