Today is Friday, August 28th.
On this day in 1609 - Delaware Bay was discovered by Henry Hudson.
1830 - "The Tom Thumb" was demonstrated in Baltimore, MD. It was the first passenger-carrying train of its kind to be built in America.
1907 - "American Messenger Company" was started by two teenagers, Jim Casey and Claude Ryan. The companies name was later changed to "United Parcel Service."
1916 - Italy's declaration of war against Germany took effect during World War I.
1939 - The first successful flight of a jet-propelled airplane took place. The plane was a German Heinkel He 178.
1963 - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., gave his "I Have a Dream" speech at a civil rights rally in Washington, DC. More than 200,000 people attended.

Morning DTR.. Been busy last couple of nights riding the scooter and plotting out the road guard stops for a benefit this weekend for the Susan G Komen Cancer Awareness ride set for this weekend. Should be a good time for a good cause

Yeeeeeesss! No rain all summer until it's too late for the crops anyway. 
No, no. I need someone who will WORK, not roll out of bed until 0900!
I also need someone who can spell! 
Just got done applying the first coat of 'Grizzly-Grip' bed liner to the floor of the cab in the front end loader. The stock rubber mat held all kinds of moisture and started rotting out the floor. I think I caught it in time, so we'll see how well this stuff adheres and holds up to constant traffic.
Did I mention it's STILL raining?

Afternoon DTR. Got the flock all stirred up, sheep are everywhere. Eric now you get to try and heard them. Looks like we got a talanted one in the flock...
Still half rainy here today, grass is green but looks like we're gonna get and storm later according to the normally wrong weatherman. Been working in the garage this morning. Stopping for a little lunch then back at it again.
