Just sprayed for some crickets outside (they are really bad here). Hope I don't die, I did not wear any PPE.

Got the truck fixed from the fiasco this morning...

Let's re-cap just today's fun...

Truck would not go over 25 this morning. I set the speed limiter to 25 and turned it way down while I was gone, figure if someone steals it, they won't tear it up. Set the limiter 2x, it still would not go over 25. Set it to stock, worked.
Got to work 10 minutes late. Not a big deal.
Someone switched my chair out with a broken one, as soon as I sat down, it dumped me on the floor. Hit pretty good, my back hurt for about 2 hours from that one.
Opened my work e-mail, over 850 e-mails, 700 of them from the system administrator telling me that my mail box was full.. It sends one every 15 minutes once the mail box hits a certain size. That's some smart stuff right there.
Nothing on my computer wanted to work after I got the e-mails fixed.
3 Marines gave me troubles all day.
Got a splitting headache... don't get them often.
Came home, kid was sick, moaning about his stomach. I did feel for him...
I chilled a bit, then started grilling some big steaks. Grill died, probably had 5 minutes left. OL's was done perfect, mine was still cool in the middle. I like mine mid rare, it was pretty rare.
Got the steaks in, kid barfs on floor.
Got the mess cleaned up, steaks were cold.
Sprayed some bug killer, was a dummy and did not wear a mask, got a little mist up the smeller. I'm probably gonna pay for that later tonight.
I'm fat.

Good notes: Wife came and visited me at work for about 30 minutes... very nice.
Got truck fixed, good stuff.
Pool is nice, bout 90*.
I'm still the baddest mother on the planet. (well, not really, but kinda)
Enjoying time with the wife, I really missed her.
I'm a MARINE!!!

All in all, not a bad day. All I need now is the roof to fall in, or the truck not to crank in the morning. Or, the roof to fall on the trucks. Or, the truck falling in the roof.

Thanks for tuning in...
Could have been worse mark... it could have been raining too.

FO, I like that 1911, nice looking gun! I've been wanting to get a 1911 for a while now.

Made me laugh (not at you) but it reminded me of times gone by. I started making invisible marks on the bottom of my chair at work so I could nail anybody who "traded" mine.

Gosh darn it, sometimes I had been born a jarhead instead of an army grunt. It all works out in the end. As a Trooper friend of mine (another crazy Marine) liked to say "in one hundred years will what happened today matter". I know it wasn’t his original saying but I always liked it.
Still nice outside so I gotta get too it....

Evenin' All!

Gorgeous day out there again. 75-80* and sunny.

Spent this AM helping a friend pull some engines out of a couple of Rangers. He's making 1 or 2 out of 4. Had a good time doing it. Good enough that I didn't get home in time for a nap before work tonight. Gonna make for a long night but oh well, it's summer and I gotta enjoy it!

FO- Nice looking 1911 there. Mama bought me a Ruger LCP for Father's day. Nice little pocket gun. Working out well during this t-shirt and shorts weather.

I'll put on a pot of Coffee for any night owls out there.

Morning.

It's Friday, June 25th.

On this day in 1788 - Virginia ratified the U.S. Constitution and became the 10th state of the United States.

1864 - Union troops surrounding Petersburg, VA, began building a mine tunnel underneath the Confederate lines.

1867 - Lucien B. Smith patented the first barbed wire.

1868 - The U.S. Congress enacted legislation granting an eight-hour day to workers employed by the Federal government.

1868 - Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina were readmitted to the Union.

1876 - Lt. Col. Custer and the 210 men of U.S. 7th Cavalry were killed by Sioux and Cheyenne Indians at Little Big Horn in Montana. The event is known as "Custer's Last Stand."

1917 - The first American fighting troops landed in France.

1950 - North Korea invaded South Korea initiating the Korean War.

1962 - The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the use of unofficial non-denominational prayer in public schools was unconstitutional.

1970 - The U.S. Federal Communications Commission handed down a ruling (35 FR 7732), making it illegal for radio stations to put telephone calls on the air without the permission of the person being called.

1973 - White House Counsel John Dean admitted that U.S. President Nixon took part in the Watergate cover-up.

1990 - The U.S. Supreme Court upheld the right of an individual, whose wishes are clearly made, to refuse life-sustaining medical treatment. "The right to die" decision was made in the Curzan vs. Missouri case.

1998 - Microsoft's "Windows 98" was released to the public.

Coffee's ready. All the other stuff too.

stupid post turtles.....

No coffee today? Happy Friday, though it's my Thursday. One more day, then vacation. Hope to get the man cave done, some fishing, and some jeep mods.

Mark, could be worse. The chair leg could've broken off and lodged itself in a less than appropriate place. Hope things get better.

Yeah, it could have been real bad.

I'm not complaining, my life is great. I was just looking at the humor in it.

Aside from a cricket waking me up at 4 and not making coffee this morning, I'm living the dream!
